Self-mortising and reversible (SMR^®) offers you a choice. SMR^® is a proprietary aluminum door frame constructed from the very best materials. The frame's support wall thickness is .080 inches or greater, its smoke seal is a heavy extruded vinyl, offered in standard colors of black and gray. Ordering the SMR^® Delta is simple: no need to specify "left" or "right" hand. Stocking requirements are greatly reduced: a frame can be cut to accommodate a smaller height requirement, eg: a 9'0" frame can be cut at the warehouse or in the field to fit an 8'6" opening. Delta frames are easily salvaged: adjustable steel hinge backup plates permit easy, budget saving reusability.

SMR^® means self-mortising. Jamb is uniquely designed to accept field-cut snap-in closure, above and below steel hinge backup plates and snap-in strike plate (furnished). No need to match factory mortised doors.

Reversible Jambs: Doors can be installed for either left or right hand. Swing can be changed without removal of frame.

Strike Plates: On factory prep'd units, frames are punched and supplied with our dust box to accommodate all deadbolt styles.

Steel Hinge Backup Plates: Designed for insertion in the jamb after installation, the jamb wall is not punched or otherwise weakened. The hinge backup plates can be adjusted along the jamb channel, removed or relocated to another jamb.

Factory Prep'd Alternative: SMR^® Delta frames can be ordered factory prep'd for hinges and strike to user's specifications. Simply specify hinge and strike locations when ordering.
